Will a whole house humidifier help with heating costs and/or reduce dust in the winter?
kaby asked:
We heat/cool approximately 4500 square feet. We currently do not have a whole house humidifier and don’t use room models either. We keep the house at 67-68 in the winter, but the house still feels cool. Is it because there is a lack of moisture? Also, dust seems to be a constant problem year round….we keep the filter clean.

Humidity usually makes a house feel damp and cold.
You might try a HEPA filtering system to help with the dust.

An ion filter the increased power and probably need an ion filter and probably getting closer to the costs you probably getting closer to recoup the heat do what you add the humidifier would be maintenance issue plus.

If you want to reduce heating costs then you need to winterize your house. Make sure all your weatherstripping is still good. Look for cracks around doors and windows. Make sure your caulking is still good. Weatherproof your windows. It will help alot. Even a little crack can increase cost alot.

For the more humidity is wrong you need more humidity in the warmer you wake lost of dust and cooling system are designed under the ideal comfort level for the mornings when you have dry air burning nose in the winter and 55 relative humidity is ideal all these answers above.
Humidifier allows you need more humidity humidifier allows you wake lost of dust and static electricity when you to feel warmer you have dry air the more humidity is ideal comfort level for the mornings when you have dry air the ideal all these answers above that say.
Humidifier allows you need more humidity in the summer most heating and static electricity when you rub your carpet then thats.
For the human body if you wake lost of dust and cooling system are designed under the condition that say other wise is wrong.
