Gallon Humidifier

I just purchaces a fantastic humidor and need to finish the setup by attaching the humidifier inside the lid. I have no idea what works best and I think I would rather not use Duct Tape.

Bosch told me not to use vinegar to descale and suggested a humidifier descaling solution. Not sure whether to use a humidifier water treatment solution or a humidifier bacteriostat solution?

when i run my daughters humidifier white residue shows up on the furniture. is it true that adding salt to the water will eliminate this problem? is this reccommended?

My 2yr old daughter has a deep cough and congestion. I went to buy a humidifier and all i could find were cold air humidifiers. I remember humidifiers having warm air. Besides the obvious, temperature, whats the difference? Is one better than the other?

We are moving into a new house (2600 sf) with hardwood floors and a humidifier was recommended by the builder. His estimate was $1500. Does that sound high?

My daughter has a terrible cold so my husband went to the store to buy a humidifier for her room. He came home with a pediatric humidifier made by vicks. What’s the difference between a pediatric one and regular one?? Do the pediatric ones not work as well?
