I just bought a humidifier for my 3 month old son yesterday who has bronchiolitis. I told my nanny not to do this and now my humidifier is full of oil and water. Any suggestions?

I have a humidifier and I used regular water in it and now there is water deposits. Can’t use harsh cleaning products on it.

I need a 26″ x 20″ x 5″ media air filter and a humidifier pad for a Honeywell Enviracare 225A whole house humidifier. I have been unsuccessful at finding these at my local home Depot and Wal Mart.

I live where it gets very cold and dry.My little ones and I are affected badly by the dry air. We can’t use our tap water in a humidifier because of the chemicals. We don’t have the space or money for jugs of water. I’d like to know if there is another way to moisturize the air in our home.
The chemicals in the tap water make the water coming out of the humidifier smell horrible (best way to describe it is like urine) and leaves a white film all over everything. it also does that when we boil it. About the distilled water, like I said we don’t have the money or space for the gallon jugs.

I’m thinking of adding an Aprilaire humidifier in my home. I was wondering how it may effect my water bill. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Our home is very dry. We have a natural gas furnace, is there an easy humidifier that I can get and install myself to my gas furnace? I thought that this might be the most energy efficeient way to go? I am not sure if humidifiers can even be used on nat gas furnaces?
Thanks in advance
