How do i use a vicks humidifier?

My sister let me borrow her Vicks 3100 humidifier, but said she lost the instructions, and didn’t know how to work the thing. I looked online and tried downloading the instruction manual, but couldn’t because i don’t have adobe. des anyone have this product? Can you tell me how i fill it and get it going… She also mentioned that it use to leak when she used it. Is this a common problem?
