Gallon Humidifier

My bungalow has 2 floors, bedrooms and main living area are on top floor and basement, storage and den are on bottom floor. I was wondering on which floor I should place my whole house console humidifier? It is supposed to humidify up to 2300 square feet which is about the size of my house. My house is heated in each room by baseboard heaters so it gets pretty dry in winter when full heat is on, and no humidifier.

Hi there,
I just moved into to a new house, there is a Humidifier installed but for some reason, it is not connected to furnace, there are two wires out from the Humidifier’s electric valve, one is connected to the C terminal on the furnace controller, where should I connect the other wire to ? The other terminals on the furnace are : Y, Gc, Gh R W. Does the transformer on the furnace has enough capacity to drive one more relay?
